1. The lottery will take place online from Thursday, May 1, 2025 to Saturday, May 31, 2025, as follows:
● Launch Date: Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 12:00pm
● Early Bird Draw #1:
◆ Sales Close: Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11:59pm
◆ Draw Date: Friday, May 16, 2025 at 12:00pm
◆ Prize: One winner of $500.00 cash
●Early Bird Draw #2:
◆ Sales Close: Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 11:59pm
◆ Draw Date: Friday, May 23, 2025 at 12:00pm
◆ Prize: One winner of $1000.00 cash
●Final Draw:
◆ Sales Close: Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:59pm
◆ Draw Date: Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 12:00pm
◆ Prize: 50% of Jackpot Total
2. Tickets will be sold only to people who are 18 years of age or older, and who are in the province of Ontario at time of purchase.
3. Tickets are sold for 1 for $5, 5 for $10, 20 for $20, and 100 for $50
4. Tickets will be available online at www.windsorhumane5050.ca
5. Tickets will be sold using electronic raffle system supplied by Raffle Nexus Canada.
6. After buying, patrons will receive a confirmation email with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given to patrons as the numbers are generated randomly.
7. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all the raffle numbers sold for that draw. Tickets drawn for the Early Bird draws will be included in the Final Draw.
8. The amount of the 50/50 prize will be determined based on the number and value of tickets purchased and listed online at www.windsorhumane5050.ca
9. The winning number will be announced via email, on the Facebook page of Windsor/Essex County Humane Society, as well as listed online at www.windsorhumane5050.ca
10. All winners will be notified by telephone.
11. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the Final Draw.
12. The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with photo identification for the report sheet.
13. Once the certified winner is verified and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that draw. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
14. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will be kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to a charity other than the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
15. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws. Windsor/Essex County Humane Society staff and Board of Directors, their spouses, or any individual who resides in the same residence of the aforementioned persons are not permitted to purchase tickets and are not eligible to win.
